Course or certification: which one do you need?

The difference

A course is short, self-paced training. At ASTRA a course takes five to nine hours and combines narrated videos, written lessons, templates and role-plays with an AI customer. Passing its final quiz and role-play earns a certificate of completion. That certificate confirms you completed the course and passed its assessment. It is not an examined credential.

A certification programme is the full path to a supervised examination. It includes the learning, Sales Craft role-plays, practice, decision simulations and a full-format mock exam. Passing the exam earns an ASTRA credential, issued to a named person, valid for three years and verifiable by anyone at astraready.com/verify.

How to choose

  • You need one conversation to go better this quarter, such as selling AI features, working with partners or answering security questions. Start with a course.
  • You want something an employer or customer can check, or you are moving into a new sales role. Choose a certification programme.
  • You lead a team. Course team packs build one skill across the team quickly. A programme sets one standard for each seller.

Many people do both. They take a course for the immediate need, then a programme when they want the credential.
