The fact

Gartner forecast on 9 March 2026 that end-user spending on information security in India would total $3.4 billion in 2026, an increase of 11.7% from 2025. Gartner linked the forecast to pressures including identity threats, AI-driven threats and regulatory requirements. [Source: Gartner, 9 March 2026.]

A market-spending forecast is not a sales target and does not tell you which customer will buy which control.

What this means for a seller

Growing spend makes security commercially important, but it also raises the standard of the conversation: buyers can compare more options and ask harder questions about fit, evidence and operating ownership. Use market growth to understand why the category matters, then return to the customer’s exact risk, environment, approval gates and proof requirements instead of assuming a rising market will carry the deal.
