Programme guide
Build technology-sales judgement you can use with customers
ASTRA Ready develops commercial technology capability for people who need to understand, discuss and progress customer decisions across cloud, security, AI, data, integrations, economics and partner-led delivery.
The learning pathway has two programmes, one for each certification level: the ASTRA Tech Sales Associate programme and the ASTRA Tech Sales Advisor programme.
ASTRA Tech Sales Associate programme
The Associate programme builds the core fluency needed to understand how modern technology offers work, ask stronger discovery questions, interpret evidence and communicate customer commitments without overclaiming.
It includes 5 modules and 40 chapters, about 25 guided learning hours.*
- The modern technology stack
- Cloud models and customer economics
- Security, trust and compliance in the deal
- AI, data and responsible value
- Technical buying, discovery, translation and channel basics
ASTRA Tech Sales Advisor programme
The Advisor programme develops judgement for more complex architecture, commercial, assurance, AI-governance and partner decisions. The Associate programme is not required for direct entry.
It includes 7 modules and 56 chapters, about 33 guided learning hours.*
- Architecture, APIs, integration and data flow
- Consumption, licensing, cloud economics and FinOps
- Security questionnaires, assurance and incident boundaries
- AI governance, data responsibility and safe deployment
- Partner economics, channel governance and co-sell execution
- Applied customer and deal simulations
- Capstone: evidence-led commercial decision
* Provisional planning estimate. Exam time is 120 minutes.
How you learn
Every module contains eight structured chapters. The chapters combine detailed teaching with realistic commercial-technology situations, evidence analysis, practical decision tools and learning activities.
Knowledge checks throughout the programme help you test your understanding. They support learning and do not contribute to certification.
Practice
Integrated practice: the Associate programme has six cases with 30 tasks and the Advisor programme has eight cases with 54 tasks. You can save, leave, resume and revise your answers before one final submission. The cases use fictional commercial-technology situations and supplied evidence, so you can practise decisions without access to live customer systems.
Module-level practice is being piloted and is not part of the released learner offer. Its availability will be stated after the module-practice content and behaviour have been reviewed and accepted.
Simulations
One learner simulation is currently available with each programme. Simulations ask you to make commercial decisions as evidence develops, rather than recall terminology. More simulations are planned; release dates will be announced.
Learning and certification are separate
Each programme prepares you for the certification of the same name. Completing chapters, practice or simulations does not award a credential: certification uses a separate, supervised exam, and you can sit it without taking the programme.
Certification is planned and is not yet open.
For individuals
Use ASTRA Ready to build confidence before customer conversations, move into technology-facing work, deepen commercial-technical fluency, or prepare for more complex sales, pre-sales, customer success or partner responsibilities.
For teams
Organisations can arrange access for their teams directly with ASTRA Ready. Tell us who needs access and what you want them to achieve, and we will set out the options.
For academic institutions
The self-paced curriculum can be integrated into technology-sales, business, management, employability or digital-skills teaching.
Nominated faculty of approved academic partners receive faculty training materials.
Academic credit, level equivalence and formal curriculum recognition remain decisions for the institution.
Choose your programme
Choose the Associate programme if you want structured grounding in technology, cloud economics, assurance, responsible AI and customer discovery.
Choose the Advisor programme if you already work with technology customers, or want deeper practice in architecture, FinOps, assurance, AI governance, partner execution and evidence-led commercial decisions.
