Home exam check-in can include identity photos and a room scan
ASTRA Ready editorial ·

The fact
Pearson VUE’s current online-proctoring requirements, accessed 5 October 2026, describe check-in steps that include technology checks, photographs of the candidate and identification, and a 360-degree room scan. [Source: Pearson VUE, United States, accessed 5 October 2026.]
Those are Pearson VUE requirements, not a universal rule for every online certification provider.
What this means for a seller
If your certification exam is supervised from home, preparation is partly logistical. Test the device and network you will actually use, confirm the accepted identification, remove prohibited materials and understand the support route before exam day.
Do not borrow rules from another certification. The candidate guide for your own assessment controls what is permitted, how monitoring works and what happens if a technical problem occurs during check-in or delivery.
