Detailed skills
What you will practise.
Explain a solution boundary
Trace interfaces, applications, data, integrations and identity responsibilities.
Test a cost claim
Use stated assumptions to compare service boundaries, entitlements and customer costs.
Interpret assurance evidence
Describe what supplied evidence supports—and what remains unanswered.
Qualify AI value responsibly
Connect a bounded use case to data responsibility, governance and approval limits.
Improve customer discovery
Turn a brief into questions, acceptance criteria and accountable next steps.
Curriculum
Five connected modules.
- 01
The modern technology stack
Available with accessExplain how customer-facing services combine interfaces, applications, data, integrations, identity and delivery choices.
Estimated duration: 150–180 minutes. Provisional; not yet measured with learners.
- 02
Cloud models and customer economics
Available with accessCompare service boundaries, entitlements and customer costs using stated assumptions.
Estimated duration: 150–180 minutes. Provisional; not yet measured with learners.
- 03
Security, trust and compliance in the deal
Available with accessTranslate security concerns into customer consequences and interpret the scope of supplied assurance evidence.
Estimated duration: 150–180 minutes. Provisional; not yet measured with learners.
- 04
AI, data and responsible value
Available with accessQualify a bounded AI use case, trace data responsibilities and test whether claims have supporting evidence.
Estimated duration: 150–180 minutes. Provisional; not yet measured with learners.
- 05
Technical buying, discovery, translation and channel basics
Available with accessTurn a customer brief into evidence-backed discovery, acceptance criteria and accountable next steps.
Estimated duration: 150–180 minutes. Provisional; not yet measured with learners.
Role application
Designed around commercial technology conversations.
These are practical applications of the curriculum, not verified job outcomes.
Inside sales / sales development
Recognise the technology terms in a customer brief and ask better qualifying questions.
Account executive / account manager
Explain responsibilities, costs and evidence without relying on unsupported claims.
Channel / partner manager
Clarify ownership, attribution and the evidence needed for partner execution.
Customer success
Interpret service boundaries, renewal assumptions and customer assurance questions.
Product / solution marketing
Check that claims are bounded by evidence and reflect actual responsibility.
Entry pre-sales / solution consulting
Trace common components and translate uncertainty into focused technical questions.
Worked example
From a confident claim to a testable question.
Fictional booking-system proposal
Claim
“The service is secure and fully managed.”
Evidence check
Which components, identities and responsibilities are in scope?
Commercial next step
Request the responsibility boundary and current assurance evidence.
Recommended pathway
From learning to private certification validation.
The journey is guidance, not a mandatory prerequisite. Practitioner can be entered directly.
Foundation is a recommended pathway. Learning and practice are available with access, and the simulation is included for entitled learners. Certification remains in private validation; credentials require approval and activation.

Common questions
Is this a qualification?
Not currently. Learning, disclosed practice and SIM-F01 are formative. Certification remains in private validation and any credential depends on an approved form, standard and activation.
Do I have to complete Foundation before Practitioner?
No. Practitioner permits direct entry; Foundation is a recommended way to build baseline understanding.
How long does Foundation take?
Module estimates are provisional and have not yet been measured with learners. Total programme workload is still being validated, so no verified programme length or academic-credit equivalence is claimed.
Does practice have a pass mark?
No performance standard is set. A completed attempt receives the statement: Completed — performance standard not yet set.
